Plosion Games is the "company" known for having developed The Blast Attack Series using the latest version of Game Maker. It was founded by blak on September 24, 2008 and it is currently working mainly on the fifth chapter of Blast Attack and other upcoming games, such as Tail Blade.
Name Meaning
The word plosion is not just supposed to mean explosion. This name derives from the name of an important audio file used when making a Blast Attack game. The file is named Plosion.wav, and it is actually an 8-bit sound formerly heard in one of the first Gradius. This sound is extremely recurring and it has so far appeared in every game of the Series. Starting with Blast Attack II, a slower version is used when the player dies or -rarely- when a major enemy explodes.
Video Games
Plosion Games's most (relatively) well-known games are part of The Blast Attack Series. The first real game, Blast Attack was released on YoYoGames in April 2007. Three more sequels were uploaded since, including a spin-off title. However, Plosion Games was not yet "officially founded" at the time. The first game that was released under the "company's" name was Blast Attack V, which has been uploaded in October 2008.
Aside from the fifth chapter, Plosion Games is currently working on new videogames, such as Tail Blade, which will be probably submitted on YoYoGames for a 2008-2009 Contest, making it the first game to be uploaded for this purpose. Some platform experiments are scheduled, but it is not known if or when games of that genre will be ever produced.
